ALIGNER THERAPY · INVISALIGN DÜSSELDORF

Straight teeth — without a visible brace.

Invisalign corrects misalignment step by step with transparent, digitally planned aligners. At A+ Dental, always with a scan and a realistic simulation first — with Dr. Rodríguez Ruíz, MSc.

How does Invisalign work?

After a digital scan, your entire tooth movement is planned on computer — step by step, aligner by aligner. Each aligner moves the teeth by a fraction of a millimetre; after one to two weeks the next one takes over. Regular check-ups make sure the treatment stays on plan.

THE THREE BUILDING BLOCKS

A series of aligners, each one a fraction further.

Your teeth are scanned in 3D, the full course of movement is simulated, and a series of aligners is produced from that plan — the sequence in which they are worn is fixed from day one.

The aligners

Thin, transparent trays, made only for your teeth and worn in sequence.

The attachments

Small tooth-coloured fixtures — only where a tooth needs extra grip for a particular movement.

The retainers

Individually made at the end. They hold your new smile where it is meant to stay.

INDICATIONS

What aligners can correct.

  • Crowding and overlapping teeth
  • Gaps and uneven spacing
  • Rotated or tilted teeth
  • Deep bite and overbite
  • Open bite and crossbite
  • Relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
  • Uneven load on the teeth
  • Alignment before veneers or crowns

Some cases still need a fixed brace.

Pronounced skeletal discrepancies, individually impacted teeth and certain jaw misalignments lie outside what aligners can achieve. Your scan shows this at the first appointment — not partway through treatment.

What we assess before planning

Most patients are suitable for aligner therapy. The examination decides how far we can bring your smile and how long the path there takes.

WHY ALIGNERS

What Invisalign means day to day.

Nearly invisible

Transparent trays instead of brackets — barely noticeable at work and in everyday life.

Removable

You simply take the aligner out to eat and brush — no restrictions on food, normal oral hygiene.

Plannable

The digital simulation shows the expected result and treatment length before you commit.

Dentist-supervised

Regular check-ups at the practice — not mail-order aligners with no dental oversight.

THE PROCESS

From scan to final aligner.

  1. 01Examination & scan — suitability check, digital impression, photos.
  2. 02Digital planning — simulation of the tooth movement, a discussion of duration and cost.
  3. 03Wearing phase — aligners changed every 1–2 weeks, check-ups roughly every 6–10 weeks.
  4. 04Stabilisation — retainers secure the result permanently.

COSTS

What does Invisalign cost?

The short answer: the cost depends on the extent of the correction — mild cases need fewer aligners than complex ones. For adults, treatment is usually a private service. After the scan and planning you receive a fixed cost plan.

LIMITS

Speaking openly.

Aligners require discipline: below 20–22 hours of wear per day the result suffers. Very complex misalignments cannot always be resolved with aligners alone — we then discuss alternatives or a referral to orthodontics. Without a retainer, teeth can move back over time.
