Understanding your treatment and cost plan
Dear patient,
the treatment and cost plan is a proposal — not an invoice and not a contract. Nothing starts before you have agreed. Here is what the form contains and what it means for you.
What the plan contains
-
·
The findings
Which teeth are missing, which will be kept and which are to be replaced.
-
·
The standard care option
The benchmark solution for these findings. Your insurer calculates its subsidy against it — whichever option you finally choose.
-
·
The proposed care
What we recommend. It may differ from the standard option where it is the better solution medically or aesthetically.
-
·
The fixed subsidy
The set amount your insurer pays. It rises if your bonus booklet is complete: after five years, and again after ten.
-
·
Your own share
The difference between the total cost and the fixed subsidy. That is the number that matters to you.

From plan to decision
1
Submission
We submit the plan to your insurer. They approve the fixed subsidy and return it. This usually takes one to three weeks.
2
Read it calmly
Take the plan home. We call after about a week to ask whether any questions came up — not to push.
3
Decide
Treatment begins only with your signature. The plan is usually valid for six months.
Ask us before you sign
- What happens if I do nothing — and how urgent is it really?
- What alternatives exist, and what do they cost over ten years?
- How long does the proposed solution typically last?
- What is included: temporary restoration, check-ups, adjustments?
Instalments & insurance
- Larger treatments can be paid in instalments. You receive the terms in writing before you decide.
- Private supplementary dental insurance often reimburses part of the cost. Submit the plan to them before treatment starts.
- Privately insured patients receive a cost estimate under the private fee schedule instead.
Your next step
Do ask about instalments — it is a normal part of planning, not a special case. If treatment is not possible right now, there is often a staged solution.
Keep asking until everything is clear.
