Relaxed conversation between Dr. Rodríguez Ruíz and a patient
THE FIRST APPOINTMENT IS A CONVERSATION — NOT A TREATMENT

HOW WE HANDLE ANXIETY

Four promises you can rely on.

01

The first appointment is a conversation

Getting to know each other, listening, a careful look if you wish — treatment only happens if you want it to.

02

Every step is announced

No surprises: you always know what happens next — and an agreed hand signal stops everything at any time.

03

Pain control comes first

Modern, carefully placed anaesthetic — and enough time until it truly takes effect. We discuss further options individually.

04

Your pace sets the plan

Three short appointments rather than one overwhelming long one — the treatment plan follows you, not the other way round.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

What patients want to know beforehand.

Can I really get an appointment with no treatment?

Yes. Tell us when booking that you would first like to just talk. Nothing is examined that you do not want — many patients start exactly this way.

What if I have not seen a dentist for years?

That happens more often than you think, and it is not a problem for us. We start where you are, and the plan follows what you can manage. You will not get a reproach from us.

Is treatment under sedation available?

For certain procedures, various options are available that make treatment easier. What suits your case depends on the procedure and your history, and is discussed beforehand, not on the day of treatment.

What is a stop signal?

An agreed hand signal that interrupts everything immediately and without discussion. It sounds small, but in practice it is the single most effective measure — anxiety largely consists of loss of control, and this gives control back.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, always. For many people, having a companion in the room makes the first appointment much easier.

Will the steps be explained to me beforehand?

If you want that, yes — every step is briefly announced before it happens. Surprise is the strongest trigger of anxiety. If you would rather not know the details, say that too: what matters is that you decide.

“The hardest appointment is the first one. After that it gets easier — we only promise here what we can keep.”
