Clear aligner therapy

Straighten your
smile, quietly.

Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, virtually invisible trays that guide your teeth into position with comfort and precision. Everything is planned digitally first — so you see the result before you begin.

12–18 months.
Both jaws.
Fully digital.

01 How clear aligners work

A series of trays, each a fraction ahead of the last.

Your teeth are scanned in 3D, the whole movement is planned on screen, and the series is manufactured from that plan. Each aligner applies gentle, measured pressure — a step towards the simulation you approved.

The aligners
Thin transparent trays, made for your teeth alone and replaced every seven to ten days.
The attachments
Small tooth-coloured buttons, bonded only where a tooth needs extra grip to turn.
The retainers
Custom-made at the end. They are what holds your new smile where we put it.
What clear aligners can correct
+Crowded and overlapping teeth
+Gaps and uneven spacing
+Rotated or tipped teeth
+Deep bite and overbite
+Open bite and crossbite
+Relapse after childhood braces
+Uneven wear across the arch
+Alignment before veneers or crowns
Some cases still need fixed braces.
Severe skeletal discrepancies, some impacted teeth and certain jaw-relation problems are beyond what aligners can do. Your 3D scan makes that clear at the first appointment, not halfway through.
What we assess before planning your treatment
Most patients are suitable candidates for aligner treatment. The examination decides how far we can take your smile, and how long it will take to get there.

02 Your aligner journey

Five steps, from first scan to retainers.

01
Consultation & 3D digital assessment
Comprehensive examination, 3D CBCT X-ray, digital intraoral scan, smile photographs and bite analysis. You see a digital simulation of your own smile, and receive a plan, timeline and written estimate.
45–60 minutes
02
Start your treatment
Your digital plan is reviewed together, tooth-coloured attachments are placed where a movement needs extra grip, the first aligners are fitted, and you learn how to wear, change and care for them. You begin transforming your smile the same day you leave.
30–45 minutes
03
Progress appointments
We monitor tooth movement against the plan, check that each aligner still seats precisely, hand over the next set and make adjustments if required. Most visits are short and efficient.
Every 6–10 weeks
04
Wearing your aligners
For the best results, aligners are worn 20–22 hours per day — removed only for eating, for drinking anything other than water, and for brushing your teeth. Wear time is what keeps you on schedule.
6–18 months
05
Your new smile
Final digital scan, removal of attachments, professional polishing, before-and-after photographs, and delivery of your custom retainers — the part that protects your result for years to come.
Fitted & reviewed
Comfort is part of the plan.
There is no drilling and no anaesthetic. Most patients describe mild pressure for a day or two after each new aligner, then nothing at all — and no interruption to work, sport or social life.

03 Before you decide

Why aligners, and the questions patients ask most.

+Nearly invisible appearance
+Comfortable and removable
+Eat all your favourite foods
+Easy brushing and flossing
+Fewer emergency appointments
+Digitally planned, predictable results
+Easier cleaning means healthier gums
+Suitable for teenagers and adults
Are clear aligners painful?
Most patients experience mild pressure for a few days when changing to a new aligner. This is a normal sign that your teeth are moving.
Will people notice I am wearing them?
Clear aligners are made from transparent material and are designed to be discreet. Most people will not notice them during everyday conversation.
Can I eat normally?
Yes. Simply remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water, then brush your teeth before putting them back in.
Why is a 3D CBCT X-ray important?
It lets us evaluate teeth, roots, jawbone and surrounding structures in three dimensions — so movement is planned accurately, and hidden issues are found before we start.
+Advanced 3D CBCT imaging
+Digital intraoral scanning
+Customised digital planning
+Experienced orthodontic care
